Who we serve
U-M research investigators.
The Rogel Cancer Center Tissue and Molecular Pathology (TMP) Shared Resource (SR) consists of three distinct, yet complementary services relating to the procurement and evaluation of tissue for research: Tissue Procurement, Histology, and Molecular Pathology.
The Tissue Procurement service provides pathology-sanctioned procurement of surgically resected neoplastic and non-neoplastic tissue (fresh and frozen).
The Histology Core provides sample processing, embedding, sectioning, routine H&E, special staining, and immunohistochemistry, as a fee-for-service core.
The Molecular Pathology Research Laboratory (MPRL) performs immunohistochemistry, in-situ hybridization, multiplex immunofluorescence, FISH staining, and tissue microarray construction, as a fee-for-service core.
We now offer bright-field and multispectral whole slide imaging on the Vectra Polaris platform, in combination with our immunofluorescence and immunohistochemistry services.
Please mention our contribution and funding support (NIH P30 CA04659229) in the Acknowledgments section of your manuscript.
Ordering and Sample Drop-off
Ordering for the Histology Core and MPRL is now online through iLabs: under Tissue & Molecular Pathology Shared Resource. In addition to the online walkthrough, we also provide direct assistance with ordering.
Sample drop-off is located on the cart immediately in room MSRB1 4508. For investigators at NCRC, courier service can be arranged -- contact [email protected] for details.
